Current Students and Alumni
Current students can obtain official documentation of their enrollment status from the Registrar’s Office by completing the Enrollment Verification Request form or from the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) by ordering a certificate of current enrollment.
Verification certificates from the NSC include student status (full-time, half-time etc.) for previous and currently in-progress terms along with semester start and end dates. Students who require additional information to be included or who need an external verification form to be completed by the Registrar’s Office should use the Enrollment Verification Request which has an option to include special instructions and attachments.
Alumni and former students may request a verification certificate with their degree or dates of attendance through the National Student Clearinghouse. Alumni may also request an official degree verification through Parchment. Degree verification forms that require completion by the Registrar’s Office can be attached to orders submitted through Parchment.
Fees
Each Enrollment Verification Request carries a $5 processing fee that is added to your student billing account.
Parchment charges $15 for a degree verification ordered on their platform.
The National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) charges a fee to verify current enrollment, degree(s), and/or dates of prior enrollment through their portal.
Third Party Requests
Prospective employers, insurance providers, or other agencies can request a verification of dates of attendance, current enrollment, and/or degree(s) earned at UMBC through the National Student Clearinghouse.
